The 7th annual celebration of the Hane Festival took place in Tanay, Rizal. The term ‘hane’ is derived from a Tanayan expression, a means to “seek one’s agreement.” The festival commemorates the founding of the municipality of Tanay, which was first recognized on November 12, 1606. It seeks to promote arts, culture, as well as their goal to make the area an amiable spot for those who wish to take part in adventure tourism. The festival was lively, and had a variety of activities. Among them is a bonsai and suiseki exhibit which promoted the rich biodiversity and rock formations found in Tanay.
