Airport and Pickup
​

All flights to Manila arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). 
You can book your flights to Manila through Philippine Airlines or any of your preferred airline serving the Manila route.

Delegates availing of the shuttle service must coordinate flight details with the secretariat to ensure pickup.

Time

Manila is 8 hours ahead of GMT.

Climate
​

May is summer season in Manila. Ensure you bring light, summer clothes that can keep you cool.
​

Language
​

Communicating with locals is easy! Most locals speak Filipino and English.
​

Currency and Banking
​

Shopping and touring Manila? It is advisable to convert your money into Philippine Peso. Forex kiosks are available in malls and banks.

Using credit cards? Visa and Mastercard is widely accepted among hotels and merchants.

Mobile Phones and Internet Connectivity
​

While it may be possible to use roaming in the country, it is advisable to buy a local prepaid sim card (around 50c to 1$) to ensure connectivity and avoid exorbitant call/data charges

Local carriers offer top-ups that have unlimited call/messaging/data for as low as PhP25-50 (50c to 1$) a day. Both sim card and top-up are available in malls, convenience stores, and small stores.

Wi-Fi is limited in public areas and is only available in hotels, mall, or our venue.
​


Public Transportation

In case you want to go around the city or venue via public transpo, it is recommended to take a Grab or Taxi
